Built-in commands
Chord's protected controls for settings, layouts, loops, and macros.
Commands beginning with 0 belong to Chord in every focused application. The protected core file is always loaded, even before optional packages, and cannot be disabled or overridden.
App controls
| Sequence | Action |
|---|---|
0, | Open Settings |
0,r | Reload configuration and stop active loops |
0q | Quit Chord |
Panel layouts
| Sequence | Action |
|---|---|
0ls or 0lsl | Select the left sidebar |
0lf or 0lfb | Select the bottom floating panel |
0lv | Cycle between layouts |
Layout selection persists across launches.
Loops and macros
| Sequence | Action |
|---|---|
0h<ID> | Halt the loop with that numeric ID |
0b<digit><sequence> | Save to temporary buffer 1–9 |
0=<name>=<sequence> | Save a named macro |
Names beginning with a digit are temporary. Other named macros persist. An empty sequence clears the saved value.
Complete built-in commands using the normal chord completion controls or the CLI.
Protected namespace
User packages cannot define 0 commands, hints, or builtin actions, and user regular expressions cannot intercept the protected commands.
